A Law Suit Regarding Land

Prince William County
     25 May 1764 - 1790. Prince William County, Virginia. Edward SMOOT vs. John HALLEY, suit of ejectment filed 1769 ref land purchased by SMOOT of MITCHELL on 25 May 1764. To Dumnfries District Court in 1772, thence to Richmond General Court in 1790. Decision in favor of defendant. Land described as 300 acres originally in Stafford County, but later in Prince William, on Yocsoecaniaco Creek.
