Smoot to Millon - Deed

       This Indenture made and entered into this 9th day of December 1854 between Thomas P. Smoot of the County of Marion and State of Missouri of the first part and Willington Millon of Fauquier County and State of Virginia of the second part. Witnesseth that the said Thomas P. Smoot for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars lawful money to him the said Thomas P. Smoot in hand paid by the said Willington Millon at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, he the said Thomas P. Smoot hath given, granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell to the said Willington Millon all his the said Thomas P. Smoot’s interest in the real and personal estate of his late grandfather Daniel Pilcher which belongs to him as one of the children of the late Ann Smoot, a daughter of the said Daniel Pilcher decd, to have and to hold the said real and personal property to him the said Willington Millon and his heirs forever. And the said Thomas P. Smoot warrants the title to said property against himself and all other persons. In testimony whereof the said Thomas P. Smoot hath hereunto set hand and affixed his seal this day and year first herein written.
