Edward Smoot
to                  | Deed
Eleven Smoot
       I Edward Smoot of the County of Fauquier and State of Virginia for the natural love and affection which I bear toward my son Eleven Smoot, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, I do give unto the said Eleven Smoot or his heirs one Negro boy named Alexander to him the said Eleven Smoot, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, free from the claims of all and every person whoever. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the seventeenth day of January 1824.
